Mandaean community ::::: |
|
Organization of the Iraqi Minorities extends heartfelt condolences to the people
of the Mandaean community on the occasion of the death of Sheikh Raad Kabashi
leader of the Mandaean community in Iraq after suffering a heart attack, calling
on the Lord to bestow His Almighty have mercy and soul in eternal peace and
inspire everyone's patience and fortitude and There is no power except God
Almighty.

Statement of
condemnation over the bombing of 2 churches in Mosul
|
|
Organization of the Iraqi Minorities condemns terrorist attack that the
terrorists blew up two vehicles near the two churches in mosul city resulting
explosion injured several children.
These terrorist operations are not in the title of national reconciliation but
is in the title that mosul city is not secure and stable and that there are
parties deliberately spreading panic and fear among the people of Mosul to
contribute to the destruction of the country and the elimination of minorities.
We condemn this cowardly operation call the local government to provide better
and better to serve the city and work on the stability of security in the region
where most of Iraq's provinces working to serve their citizens and Mosul are
still living darkness and left behind in all governorates.

Sponsored by Dr. Adel Abdul Mahdi, Vice-President of the Republic and under the
banner of dignified return of refugees, and with the support of Christian
Solidarity International was held Hammurabi Organization for Human Rights of 11
and 12 days of the month of January as the special conference, which explored
the Christian presence in Iraq.
The Conference was an opportunity to clarify the facts and the mobilization of
governmental and international efforts to urge everyone to prepare the ground
for the safe return of refugees and displaced people after the events of 2003.
Delegates also discussed the difficulties experienced by minorities in the whole
country because of the absence or weakness of state authority, including, in
particular in the areas of the Plain of Nineveh, Kirkuk and Baghdad, where
Iraq's minorities reside heavily.
The conference has concluded its work yesterday, and issued recommendations on
which would contribute to the dignified return of refugees and below the text of
the Speech of the Iraqi Minorities made at the opening session of the Conference

التفجيرات الأخيرة للكنائس في الموصل ::::: |

وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ
أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُون

منظمة الأقليات العراقية تدين العملية الإرهابية التي قام الإرهابيون بتفجير عجلتين
بالقرب من كنيستي العذراء في حي الشرطة و مريم في حي الشفاء قرب دورة قاسم الخياط
مما أدى الانفجار إلى إصابة العديد من الأطفال .
إن هذه العمليات الإرهابية لا تصب في عنوان المصالحة الوطنية بل تصب في عنوان مدينة
موصل غير أمنة ومستقرة وأن هناك أطرافا تتعمد نشر الذعر والخوف بين أهالي الموصل
للمساهمة في تدمير البلد والقضاء على أقلياته.
إننا إذ ندين هذه العملية الجبانة نطالب الحكومة المحلية بتقديم الأفضل والأحسن
لخدمة المدينة والعمل على استقرار الأمن فيها حيث أن معظم المحافظات العراقية تعمل
من اجل خدمة مواطنيها والموصل لازالت تعيش الظلمات وتتخلف عن كافة المحافظات.

وفاة الشيخ رعد كباشي زعيم الطائفة المندائية في العراق اثر تعرضه لنوبة قلبية
داعين المولى القدير أن يتغمده برحمته الواسعة ويسكنه فسيح جناته ويلهم الجميع
الصبر والسلوان ولاحول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم.

مؤتمر الوجود المسيحي في العراق ::::: |

برعاية الدكتور عادل عبد المهدي، نائب رئيس الجمهورية وتحت شعار عودة كريمة
للاجئين، وبدعم من منظمة التضامن المسيحي العالمية عقدت منظمة حمورابي لحقوق
الإنسان للأيام 11 و 12 من شهر كانون الثاني الجاري، مؤتمرها الخاص والذي بحث فيه
الوجود المسيحي في العراق.
لقد كان المؤتمر فرصة لتوضيح الحقائق وحشد الجهود الحكومية والدولية من أجل حث
الجميع على تهيئة الأرضية الآمنة لعودة اللاجئين والمهجّرين بعد أحداث 2003. كما
تطرق المؤتمرون إلى الصعوبات التي تعاني منها الأقليات في عموم البلاد بسبب غياب
سلطة الدولة أو ضعفها، ومنها على وجه الخصوص في مناطق سهل نينوى وبغداد وكركوك، حيث
تتواجد الأقليات العراقية بكثافة.
وكان المؤتمر قد أنهى أعماله يوم أمس وأصدر التوصيات الخاصة والتي من شأنها أن
تساهم في عودة كريمة للاجئين وأدناه نص كلمة منظمة الأقليات العراقية التي أُلقيت
في الجلسة الافتتاحية للمؤتمر .

the Iraqi Minorities organization condemns racist process by iraqi criminals
when they blew up the church of Mar Afram, adjacent to a nunnery on the morning
of Thursday, 26/11/2009.
These terrorist operations are not in the title of national reconciliation but
is in the title that mosul city is not secure and stable and that there are
parties deliberately spreading panic and fear among the people of Mosul to
contribute to the destruction of the country and the elimination of minorities.
We condemn this cowardly operation and call the local government to provide

We also call upon the Iraqi government to work to establish security and safety
through the presence of its troops in Mosul, and make it easier to protect the

عندما قاموا بتفجير كنيسة مار افرام ودير الراهبات المحاذي لها في صباح يوم الخميس
26/11/2009 .
إن هذه العمليات الإرهابية لا تصب في عنوان المصالحة الوطنية بل تصب في عنوان مدينة
موصل غير أمنة ومستقرة وأن هناك أطرافا تتعمد نشر الذعر والخوف بين أهالي الموصل
للمساهمة في تدمير البلد والقضاء على أقلياته.
إننا إذ ندين هذه العملية الجبانة نطالب الحكومة المحلية بتقديم الأفضل والأحسن
لخدمة المدينة والعمل على استقرار الأمن فيها حيث أن معظم المحافظات العراقية تعمل

كما نطالب الحكومة العراقية بالعمل على بسط الأمن والأمان من خلال تواجد قواتها في
الموصل وتسهيل أمر أهالي الموصل في حمايتها.

IMO Declaration on the visit of
Syriac Catholic Patriarch to Iraq |

On the occasion of the visit of Patriarch Mar
Ignatius Joseph yonan, the Patriarch of Antioch Syriac Catholic Church in Iraq.
Dr.Hanin Alqaddo, the Shabak representative in the Iraqi parliament as a
President of the Iraqi Minorities organization initiated to visit to
congratulate His Holiness for the safety of access in Iraq and to meet number of
bishops accompanying his Eminency, including the Bishop ( Anthony Belloni). All
the interlocutors confirmed on the unity of Iraq and exert more efforts to build
by all Iraqi forces and the adoption of Citizenship as the basis for
co-existence among all of its components, races and religions without
discrimination.
Among other subjects talked, was the areas of minorities in the Nineveh plain
witnessing a pressure to demographic change by different parties in the absence
of rule of law. Also reviewed the item contained in the Constitution which
allows the Iraqi housing wherever he wants, where everyone confirmed on the
existence of the problematic in this item, as required by the Constitution
without changing the demographic nature of the areas of minorities existence
like villages and historic towns. This requires respect to the exclusiveness of
religious and ethnic minorities at their historic areas which does not allow the
demographic change especially Christians, because they have exclusiveness at the
national and religious, as everyone agreed on the need to stop all the essays to
withhold parts of Nineveh province by illogical excuses. also (His Excellency,
Mar Jarjes Kas Moussa, the bishop of Nineveh Syriac catholic Church) said that
Christians are with the unity of Iraq as also the desire of the majority is to
keep their linking with the central government,to promote Iraqi unity and
confirmation of historical peaceful coexistence wherever it is present, in an
atmosphere of love and peace and not to encroach upon the exclusiveness of
others, in order to promote national unity for all in a unified democratic Iraq.
Also Dr. Hunain Qaddo confirmed on the need to remove misunderstanding in the
Nineveh Provincial Council's decision the right to own property in the areas of
christians for non inhabitants of the region in the villages and towns where
they lived historically. He called for maintaining the privacy areas of
Christianity as a beacon that distinguish them from the surrounding areas. He
stressed on condemning violence and terrorism in all its forms which affects on
the minorities and the stability of the Nineveh Plain and sustain peaceful
coexistence among its components. He confirmed also on the need to construct and
rebuild what was destroyed during years where the region is suffering from a
lack of services and the deliberate marginalization of all components. He also
called for the development of minorities areas in cooperation with the owners of
the good will of gentlemen of the church and the residents of the area ...
Finally, he wished a good stay for the Patriarch guest in his second country
Iraq and to visit in future when iraqi territorial integrity has been achieved
and returned the smile and joy for all Iraqis without discrimination. The
meeting was attended by Mr. Louis CLIMIS, the spokesman of the Iraqi minorities
organization and the responsible of media relations of the organization and a
number of priests and a number of guests ..
